Asian Clinical Oncology Society Meeting - the 4th Kobayashi Foundation Award

Kobayashi Foundation for Cancer Research was established in order to promote academic fields and science technologies through making grants and giving awards to the outstanding researchers except Japan on cancer chemotherapy and has contributed to the improvement and development of cancer treatment.

Kobayashi Foundation Award (KFA) had been conducted jointly with the Asian Clinical Oncology Society (ACOS) from 2010. In August, 2010, at the 9th International Conference of the ACOS held in Gifu, Japan, the 1st KFA was given to 6 researchers from oral presentation and 8 researchers from poster presentation. In June, 2012, the 2nd KFA was given to Korean and Taiwanese researchers at the 10th ACOS in Seoul, Korea. In May, 2014, the 3rd KFA was given to Taiwanese and Singaporean researchers at the 11th ACOS in Taipei, Taiwan.

The 4th Award (2016) will be extended more widely and we are planning the next two categories; one is for cancer researchers who created distinguished research achievements in the field of cancer chemotherapy (Part 1) and the other is for the healthcare professionals or medical teams (e.g. medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, medical educators) who made remarkable contributions in the field of cancer chemotherapy (Part 2).
